We Celebrate and Commemorate The Life and Legacy of A Great Leader

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

1929-1968

How truly heartbreaking it has been during these past few weeks in the United States of America, but I am thankful to have had the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to hang on to through these difficult times; just to help me make it through...just to give me hope for a better day. Needless to say, I am still celebrating the birthday of this great man.

Although all Dr. King's words move me, the following is appropriate for what we have been experiencing in this country now; as well as in so many...many...many years past.

“Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.”

Let's keep celebrating this great man, his life, and his legacy. Let's keep celebrating this great leader.
