Communications, established in 2008, is now managing Caribbeana
annual fundraiser, the comedy festival, which also supports the
volunteer work of Von
Martin and his news team of three volunteers for Caribbeana.
Von has served in local, national and international radio for over
three decades. His Triple ‘E’ philosophy of educating,
entertaining, and enlightening all that reflects the Caribbean
especially radio which impacts millions in the U.S., alone.
He has accomplished his work as a volunteer programmer on WPFW’s
89.3 fm airwaves since 1975. He receives zero
funding from WPFW 89.3 fm and has supported his love and passion
for radio and celebrating cultural diversity through music and the
arts by producing the comedy festival.

people as well as enlighten non-Caribbean audiences to past and
current affairs focused on Caribbean societies through news,
music, and interviews. Through CCI he aims to narrow a gap in
conventional media that has no identifiable place for Caribbean
