Well, Hello…Helloo…Hellooo my dear friends and family!  Gee, I hope all of you are splendid, and are doing superb.

Even with the excessively cold, off/on snowy weather, and pleasantly mild days as well; I have been coming along just fine during this 1st month of 2013, as well as with my resolutions.  And I hope you are too.

Although I promised myself I would manage [properly] my time, and even schedule during this first month of 2013; I didn’t do a great job because it has been quite hectic.  In addition to the "daily grind;" we are busy trying to get things in perfect order regarding our business, life, and even home; and needless-to-say time seems to have been speeding along while this has been occurring.  I am happy to say a lot of nice things have been accomplished in a short period of time...Woohoohoohoohoo!!!!!

Indeed, so much has transpired during these past 28 days since I connected with you.  We have now sworn in for a 2nd term our 44th President of the United States of America – “Barack H. Obama;” and we have celebrated the birthday of "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr."  Plus one of my favorite football team the “Ravens” has won the AFC Championship, and is on their way to “kicking butts” in the upcoming 47th Super Bowl taking place this Sunday, February 3rd, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Personally though, there have been a few shake-ups, surprises and wonderment taking place among my associates; but I’m sure the almighty has a master plan and will lead them in the right direction and on to the right path.  And besides CHANGE is GOOD!

The recent INAUGURATION of our 44th President Barack H. ObamaPresident_Obama_Inauguration-Family-1.21.2013-1.JPG (34873 bytes) - with its pungent theme “Faith in America’s Future ,“ ~~~ which commemorated the United States’ perseverance, faith and unity WAS MONUMENTAL!  Even more so because on this special day we were also celebrating (1): the life, legacy, works and hard fight/struggles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. [for Civil Rights;] plus (2): the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech [the historical and important March on Washington].  As well as (3): the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.

For me personally the inauguration was truly a humbling and inspiring experience.  And the energy and enthusiasm were electrifying.  Ahhhhhhh, the emotions that were flowing through me, mere words cannot explain.  But it was magnificent…indeed yet another one of America’s greatest moments I had the opportunity to experience [once again.]   The memories I came away with that day are incredible, and they will forever be lodged in my mind.  The young and old faces full of pride, joy, and hope, expressed to me clearly how much they believe in moving this country forward…together!  President Barack Obama’s Powerful Inaugural address too was amazing and his words of “We”, “Together” and most importantly his expressing of the true meaning of equality touched me deeply…It absolutely touched me when he stated: “WE are made for this moment, and WE will seize it – so long as WE seize it TOGETHER.” In this country WE are experiencing a moment of opportunity.”

I tried very hard to contain my emotions, but still I had to brush away tears from time to time.  LOL, I must say though, it certainly was not as much tears as 4 years ago; hehehe…during that inauguration (back then) I boohoo’d constantly throughout the day.

As I close my thoughts on President Obama’s Inauguration, I must share with you again the important factors of that special day:  this year makes it 150 years since the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by the 16th President of the United States - Abraham Lincoln; and exactly 100 years later Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr. led his historic marched on Washington to fight for Civil Rights for all; and made his powerful…notable “I Have a Dream” Speech.  And here it is exactly 50 years later the First African-American President "Barack H. Obama" was sworn in to office for a 2nd term.   Clearly, America has come a long way, and quite a few important things have been accomplished.  It’s truly a positive sign; and perhaps we, America, and all Americans are moving in the right direction.  However, we all must never forget our past, nor ever get it “twisted,” because there is a whole lot more that needs to be accomplished in these United States of America.  For starters, let’s be hopeful that all Americans put aside their hatred, and most importantly their fear of change and bias toward the diversity of this great nation and COME TOGETHER!

As I do, please keep President Obama and his lovely family in your thoughts and prayers.  Pray that during this ongoing battle the blatant disrespect and disregard he receives from Congress and many others cease; and under this immense pressure he maintains his grace, humility and patience.  Pray that this profound intelligent gentleman with great intuition, and confidence remain strong and hold on to his sense of ethics, fairness and equality; and most importantly continue leading America with faith, courage and the strong love he has for this nation and its people.

After all these years of reading our commentaries you must have realized by now how strongly we feel about honoring, celebrating and sharing historical facts, works, contributions, and accomplishments of powerful Americas…African-Americans…and people in general across the globe.  So even though Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday has passed I must share with you a nice “Timeline” I received from one of our AEG friends (a reader); which chronicles Dr. King’s life and his personal achievements. In fact, Black History Month begins in a few hours; so it is absolutely appropriate to share this “Timeline.”  UNDENIABLY, it’s a perfect way to begin commemorating Black History Month!!!

As I stated above this “Timeline” chronicles Dr. King’s life and his personal achievements, and we thank Ms. Allison Morris for graciously provided it to us.  Ms. Williams (if you are reading this e-Newsletter…today,) please know that we are thrilled to share your work with our audience, and we are happy that you are a part of our AEG family.  Below are a few words from Ms. Morris as she introduces her project.

After all the celebrations that come with the month of December, it’s easy to feel like the rest of winter is empty of special occasions or reasons to celebrate. One important day to commemorate, however, falls in the middle of January and is certainly a cause for thanks and remembrance: Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. People honor and celebrate the life of Dr. King for many reasons, but most importantly, for his role in working to achieve race equality in America. Dr. King had arguably the greatest impact of any single person during the fight for racial equality, and the fact that his life was cut short causes people to wonder what he may have gone on to achieve in his lifetime. History is full of important, memorable figures, but for those individuals who have helped influence equality, it’s especially important to honor their achievements. Most children learn a bit about Dr. King in schools today, but it’s vital to continue that conversation outside of the classroom and in the world, where equality issues are still pressing. The following infographic presents a timeline of the life of Martin Luther King Jr., to honor his legacy and fuel the conversation about his battle for equality.”

For some days now pure excitement has been building steadily in our lives (my husband Todd and I,) because we have been celebrating some milestones, and the success of Change.  ToddSusan_Mangatal-New_Year_Celebration-2013.JPG (22546 bytes)For starters we are currently celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary.

Wow, It has been extremely awesome walking through this long and winding road…this thing called life with a friend, business partner, confidant, love of a lifetime, and everything lovely wrapped up in one.  This accomplishment alone is mind-blowing, and has truly been easy; because I indicated above “walking through life” with a genius who is wise, strong, patient, has vision, moral integrity, cultural understanding, a calm demeanor, a deep love for the Community, and a strong desire to help bring about togetherness, wealth, and economic stability to all…IS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT.  Of course, my desire is the same; so it makes for a perfect combination.

We will also be celebrating 10 years of building and growing Arious Entertainment Group.  And as I look back, it has truly been a wonderful experience ~~~ Laying out and building the foundation, planning decisively every move to gain maximum success, finding those who are true, and weeding out those who are false [needless-to-say the list of false is a whole lot longer that the list of true; but there is no surprise here because many are called; but few are chosen.]  Now we are at an important turning point in our business, and in our life and we have fully embraced all we have learned and experienced.  So it’s time to take all we have learned over the years and use it to create our ultimate goal. I must say I feel so very good about the moves we are about to embark on.  INDEED 2013 will be a year to celebrate…a year of CHANGES, NEW BEGINNINGS, AND SUCCESS!

And through it all where would we be without you our online family and friends...you a phenomenal diverse group of people; where would we be? ABSOLUTELY…NO…WHERE!!!

You have openly shared your comments, topics and concerns with us; which in turn inspired serious discussions.  Your RESPECT has been uplifting, and your SUPPORT has been strong…undying and absolutely meaningful; whether it be: by you simply opening our e-Mail and reading our AEG e-Newsletter (including our sometimes thought provoking commentaries), or even attending any function or event we endorsed and/or share with you.  You have demonstrated that we are viable, and have afforded us the special opportunity to: (1) share our thoughts and opinions on many issues [with you], as well as our passion and vision (2) continue with our commitments, plus our efforts regarding the growth of our company; and most importantly (3) reaching for, and obtaining our goals and dreams.  CLEARLY, YOU HAVE BEEN THE FOUNDATION OF OUR SUCCESS; and therefore WE THANK YOU DEEPLY.  We thank you for making these 10 years incredibly interesting, easy, exciting, fun-filled, and superb!

We at Arious Entertainment Group are truly blessed and filled with gratitude for your undying support.  Additionally, we say “Thank you"…Thank you all our on-line family, friends and readers. Thank you for visiting, reading, commenting, and for just being wonderfully kind, patient and loyal.
